Allied Home Inspections LLC is a licensed, certified, experienced Danbury CT home inspection company.  I have been inspecting houses in Danbury for about 15 years. I perform structural inspections, radon testing, pest (termite) inspections, well water testing, pre-listing inspections, condo inspections, and more.

Things to note in Danbury...
  • Many houses use oil for heating.
  • Most homes I inspect here were built between 1930 -1990.
  • An even mix between houses supplied by well water / city water, and septic / sewer waste disposal. None of my past Danbury customers have informed me of a well going dry. I do not recall finding arsenic or uranium when testing water samples from Danbury.
  • I have not seen any of the Connecticut cracked foundations from pyrrhotite here.
  • Eversource is the electric provider, Comcast for cable tv.
  • An even mix between "city" and "town"type locations. Wide range of housing styles and pricing.
  • Lots of shopping, sports fields, places to eat.
  • There is a hospital and a small airport here.
  • Great access to lakes in the area.

I can provide Danbury clients with a through, unbiased home inspection and issue a written report the same day as the inspection. Reports include pictures and are easy to read. Hi Tom,
... we can't thank you enough for the incredibly thorough job you did. The report was so descriptive and helpful, and we have decided not to buy the house based on all of your findings.
Until the next one!

Tom was awesome!  I had no idea who to go with when looking for a home inspector but after speaking with him on the phone I was sold that he would do a great job.  He's very honest and genuine and really has the BUYER's best interest in mind.  On the day of the inspection, he arrived early and had already scoped out the outside of the house and right away started letting us know how the exterior looked.  Inside he was really thorough with the inspection, he even asked us if we had kids or were planning on that (which we are) so he kept that in mind as he was looking for potential issues.  With every issue that he noted, he explained to us what was wrong and what to do to fix it as well as being honest about the severity of the issues.  Many times he would note an issue and say this isn't a big deal and here's how to quickly fix it, but I'm going to note it for your records.
It was this honesty and care that he gave throughout the inspection that really impressed us.  Also, our house is a technically a condo even though it looks like a single family home, so he made specific notes about things as they related to the condo and HOAs.  The whole inspection took a little over 4 hours for our 2 story 2300 sq ft home, but it really didn't feel like it at all.
If the inspection itself wasn't enough, he said if we had any questions about the report in the days/weeks/years later, he said do not hesitate to call and ask him.  We had a couple of small questions, just to clarify some items on the report and he got right back to us and explained exactly what the issue was. All in all, I was super-impressed with Tom and would recommend him without hesitation!  If you are a first time home buyer, like us, he will definitely ease your nerves and make the inspection process a lot more comfortable.
